The Green Grid involves prestigious names like Intel, Dell (News - Alert), Novell, HP, Cisco and many more. Now, Logicalis, an international provider of integrated Information and Communications Technology (ICT) solutions, has joined in this noble cause.

 

With the other partners in Green Grid, Logicalis will work towards lowering the overall consumption of power in data centers around the globe. It will help its customers to reduce their carbon footprint and provide subsidized environmental impact training. The company will also shortly start a research survey that will analyze the impact of IT sector on the environmental issues.

 

This is not the first time Logicalis is getting involved in an environmental project. Earlier, the company received an accreditation in ISO14001 environmental standards for its work in reducing the global warming through intelligent use of IT infrastructure. Tom Kelly, Managing Director, Logicalis UK said the company was looking forward to work with partners like IBM, Cisco, Microsoft (News - Alert), HP and BT — and other technical experts globally, for efficient and improved practices in using the environment we live in.
