Dialight, a global player in LED lighting technology, has partnered with Veolia Environmental Services to offer high-intensity discharge and street light fixture and lamp recycling for commercial facilities and municipalities that make the switch to Dialight's more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly LED lighting solutions.
"LEDs are a much 'greener' option than traditional HID and fluorescent fixtures," said Roy Burton, group chief executive, Dialight, in a statement.
Burton said that by adding this recycling option, the company is able to enhance the environmental benefits changing over to LEDs and relieve the customers of the burden in figuring out how they're going to deal with the discarded fixtures.
Veolia, which is one of the largest commercial recyclers of lamps and ballasts in the world, works with a broad range of customers to offer environmentally-compliant recycling services nationwide.
Officials with Veolia claimed that its state-of-the-art processing system ensures that customers who change out to Dialight's LED indoor and outdoor fixtures will be able to minimize cost and maximize efficiency to meet their sustainability, regulatory compliance and budgetary requirements.
