Telkonet Targets Growth in Energy Management Segment and Hospitality HSIA Market

Clean technology is the need of the hour to save a diminishing ecosystem of the earth. Many companies in U.S. and across the world are now realizing this fact, and are seeking out clean technology providers to fulfill their business needs. To meet the needs of such clients, Telkonet, a clean technology company has expanded its sales team, including the appointment of Dan Smith as energy management sales associate.

According to Telkonet (News - Alert), clean technology includes the renewable energy, such as wind power, solar power, biomass, hydropower, biofuels, information technology, green transportation, electric motors, green chemistry, lighting, and many other appliances. The companies can create electricity and fuels with a smaller environmental footprint with the help of this technology.

Focusing on the Education market including student housing and dormitories in colleges and universities, Telkonet's energy management sales has 650 colleges and universities signing the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment.

“We regard this as an extremely important phase in the market, as the country starts to come out of the recession,” Jeremy Griesbach, vice president of global sales of Telkonet, said. “By investing in our sales team at this time, we can accelerate our efforts to penetrate the rapidly-growing Clean Technology energy market, as well as penetrating larger, full-service and resort properties.”

Reflecting the additional market opportunities for the EthoStream Hospitality Network's integrated HSIA management platform and proactive, in-house customer support, Telkonet has also boosted its inside sales team. Telkonet will be looking to expand the company's market share into the full-service luxury hotel market, building on the strong established hospitality customer base of more than 2,350 properties.

Recently, the company partnered with OnSite Media to provide a custom version of digital OnSite Concierge service in approximately 200,000 additional hotel rooms. OnSite Media will create and provide a customized version of its OnSite Concierge for users of the EthoStream Hospitality Network in hotel rooms across the country as part of the agreement. The customized concierge service will be available on EthoStream networks beginning next month.
