Semaphore Announces SCADA VAR Agreement with Plexus

Plexus Technology Limited has joined the Semaphore partner network as a value added reseller for the T-BOX and Kingfisher SCADA system product lines.

 

T-BOX will be integrated with Plexus’s intelligent middleware software as part of Plexus’s strategy of offering a complete solution to customers who want to create an intelligent, web-based, connected real estate network.

 

Based in the U.K., Plexus specializes in energy management and facilities management systems for the industrial and public sectors.

 

“Plexus is seeing increasing demand from integrators and real estate owners for a low cost ‘Building Management System’ in-a-box solution that can be integrated into one common graphical user interface via the Web, with the rest of our building portfolio,” said Martin McWilliam, chairman and CEO, Plexus, in a statement.

 

McWilliam said that T-BOX is a proven, world-class product that complements Plexus’s existing expertise in systems integration and visualization.

 

He said that it enhances Plexus’s offering for enterprise-wide monitoring and control of a real estate portfolio, thereby enabling vital tasks such as risk and energy management, as well as CRC compliance, to be undertaken in an even more effective manner. Semaphore officials said that the company’s T-BOX is the first IP-based telemetry RTU that enables the complete integration of SCADA, control and communications functionality in one rugged package.

 

Company officials said that it leverages easy-to-use Web technologies and inexpensive public networks for decentralized, monitoring and control systems.

 

According to the company officials, the Kingfisher RTU line provides many advanced features for SCADA system solutions, including redundant configurations, intelligent I/O and open programming that is compliant with IEC (News - Alert) 61131-3 and IEC 61499.  Kingfisher systems are well suited to large, demanding measurement and control applications that employ central stations.
