Green Technology -American Jewish Committee Hails Israeli Cabinet's Commitment Toward Energy Independence


The American Jewish Committee reportedly praised the Israeli Cabinet’s efforts toward promoting energy independence at its most recent weekly meeting.
 
The meeting focused on topics of climate change and the current environment crises, mirroring the cabinet’s initiatives to illustrate the importance of energy independence in the modern world.
 
The meeting opened with the inaugural remarks of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who affirmed his Cabinet’s intention to begin a nation level project that would significantly cut down and eliminate completely the global dependence on petroleum. Netanyahu also took an oath to dedicate Israel’s best brains and talent towards the cause of reducing global energy consumption. He prescribed a whole set of cross sectional reforms to the energy consumption trends prevalent today, including neutralizing financial terrorists who make use of energy shortage as a tool to negotiate.
 
The views of AJC’s Executive Director David Harris were reportedly consonance with that of the prime minister. He applauded the government’s efforts which have been directed toward illustrating the biggest challenge countered by the security and health of the planet at present.
 
“The Prime Minister’s pledge to focus Israel’s finest minds on the grave problems posed by current energy consumption patterns – from water shortages to pollution to the funding of brutal regimes which finance terrorism – is enormously encouraging,” Harris said.
 
Environment Minister Gilad Erdan spoke at during cabinet meeting about the government initiatives toward reducing global dependence on petroleum and improving the level of energy dependence in the world today. The key target areas include cutting down significantly the level of air pollution, increasing the relevance of recycling and improving its capacity, and also improving overall awareness standards regarding the environment among the general population.
