TIA Releases Green Report to Educate on Energy, Environment

Like all industries, green technology is no different in its progression towards becoming a driving force behind change and intuitive invention within the telecom world.

While there are many industry professionals, SMBs and large enterprises that have the knowledge of how the green market works, there are others that need more of a boost in order to make their move into the market.

And, as information and communications technology, or “ICT,” adapts to an increasing environmentally conscious and energy-stretched world, the Telecommunications Industry Association (News - Alert), or “TIA,” long-time leader in market intelligence for the industry, has released a new report on green technology.

The report aims to educate and inform individuals – focusing on the telecom industry – of how to make the appropriate decisions when it comes to breaking into the green technology business word.

Titled, “ICT Green Report: Energy & Environmental Trends & Forecasts,” unveiled at SUPERCOMM 2009, targets an audience that is eager to do the following:

·         Lower energy use and maximize financials
·         Learn how greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint, and climate change affect products and markets
·         Adopt corporate social responsibility by improving customer loyalty and respond to customer demand
·         Find new markets, both vertical and geographic
·         Ensure products are compliant with the increasingly heavy burden of environmental regulation
·         Be on the leading edge of technology advances that help consumers and businesses with their own needs to lower energy costs, reduce pollution, improve efficiency and be more socially responsible

According to company officials, the report highlights ways that technology companies can enter new markets by focusing on the development of their green products and services.
