The DGS-3200-24 helps in efficient conservation of power usage as it detects the links down, and manages the power use without sacrificing network performance.
The DGS-3200-24 switch also comprises of a smart fan equipped with heat sensors to maintain the temperature of the device for optimum performance. Whenever the system operation temperature reaches or surpasses 95 degrees, the fan automatically turns on, which is an off state by default to reduce noise pollution and energy consumption.
With this launch, D-Link has become the first company to introduce Green networking solutions, and has been providing a range of Green Technology products, including switches, Wi-Fi routers, network attached storage (NAS), Internet-enabled digital photo frames and the new D-Link Green(TM) Powerline network adapters.
As in the field of network solutions, a larger address space is becoming the order of the day the DGS-3200-24 supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols to fulfill the need. The IPv 6 is a protocol that is cheaper to deploy, and enables simple, streamlined network configuration, company officials said. The DGS-3200-24 is on the IPv6 Phase-2 approved list.
The extensive network of D-Link’s value added resellers, solution providers and distributors are going to make the DGS-3200-24 L2 Gigabit managed switch available to the consumers. The current suggested retail price for the switch is $1,749.99.
