Zerista Picks Green Cloud Hosting Platform

Zerista, a software as a service company, has picked the wind-powered cloud hosting platform from green colocation and managed services provider Green House Data to house their next generation event software platform.

The Denver-based software company provides a next generation software platform for conferences and trade shows. Green House’s green data center facility has helped Zerista to decrease their carbon emissions while simultaneously improving their server availability.

The software company has been able to lower its CO2 emissions by 19,500 lbs. per year and total power consumption to 1,200kwH per year. Moreover, they succeeded in dropping their server-based carbon footprint to zero.

Shawn Mills, president at Green House Data said the company is pleased to deliver a highly reliable solution with no negative impact on the environment.

Green House Data is Wyoming’s first high-density data center and hosted computing facility. The company was in news earlier this year when its wind powered facility was selected by the National Outdoor Leadership School to provide energy efficient outsourced data center services to the institution.
