New Green Living Mobile App Just in Time for Earth Day 2009

For those of us interested in learning more about what we can do to help save the environment and live better, “greener” lives, Fox Mobile Distribution (FMD), a unit of Fox Mobile Group, has announced that in honor of Earth Day 2009 on April 22, it will offer a free Green Living Guide mobile application for U.S. consumers.

The new Green app, which will be available all week, until April 26, 2009, is available through the company’s Jamster service and was developed by Incelligence Inc.

Consumers can get The Green Living Guide by texting “GOGREEN” to 75555 for a numbers of tips and recommendations on how to live a greener life through recycling, reuse, improved transportation and conservation efforts.

Also, by having the guide available right on a users mobile phone , it provides an easy to access guide that is right at a users fingertips so they can quickly find ways to help the planet and live a greener life.

“It’s not the sweeping lifestyle adjustments, but the simple actions we can take to help make a difference toward greener living,” said Giovanni Montesanti, chief marketing officer for Fox Mobile Distribution. “The Green Living Guide application offers lots of cool tips that people may not have thought about to help contribute to a greener lifestyle.”

Even the use of mobile phones produces energy increases that impact the environment. To help reduce this impact, it’s critical that mobile users unplug their unused chargers, deactivate unnecessary connections when not in use, avoid using the energy-intensive vibration mode on the phone and adjusting display settings to conserve energy.

These and other tips available via the free application can help to adjust the way each of us handles every day energy usage to live greener, better lives and improve environmental conditions overtime.
