Earth Day Tree-Planting Campaign Launched by American Eagle Partners

In honor of Earth Day and in support of an improved environment for kids, non-profit foundation Plant-It 2020, has teamed up with 77kids, a new children’s clothing and accessories provider from American Eagle Outfitters, on a campaign that sponsors the planting of indigenous trees for every order placed on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22.

77kids offers clothing for children ages 2 to 10 and is part of the American Eagle Outfitters brand. The company said this campaign presents the “perfect opportunity to pick up great items for spring and summer and at the same time support the environment with our kids.”

Plant-It 2020 plants, maintains and protects indigenous trees throughout the world and was founded by late singer, John Denver.

The non-profit provides reforestation projects in many regionsincluding the U.S., Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and helps to increase crop production, fresh water, and a number of other benefits for humanity.

This specific Earth Day campaign with 77kids will plant half the trees as a result of purchases made on Earth Day, in equatorial regions to assist in global warming reduction while the other half will be planted in the U.S. to help those areas hurt by forest fires.

In addition to planting indigenous trees, the non-profit also offers educational workshops for thousands of children to teach them about forestry issues affecting the world.

For $1 per tree, Plant-It 2020 makes it possible for individuals, businesses and other organizations to give back to their communities and forests while also having a secure and precise value of their donation.
