WebTech Achieves Success, Helps Environment with Fleet Management System

WebTech Wireless (News - Alert) Inca, a provider of location-based and fleet telematic solutions delivered in partnership with Automotive Resources International (ARI), reported on its recent successes.

The company’s solutions are now installed in 2000 vehicles. Its WebTech on-board devices interface directly with the Intellifleet system for fleet management and vehicle diagnostics.

The solutions use GSM cellular networks and satellite technology to provide data on vehicle performance (e.g. acceleration and braking). This information can be used to re-train drivers or adapt routes to lower costs and CO2 emissions, and to improve customer service.

WebTech offers full mapping, messaging and dispatching abilities so that fleet managers and drivers can proactively monitor if the fleet is operating within operational and environmental guidelines.

“ARI has extensive fleet management experience with service and utility companies, and we've seen the increasing emphasis they're placing on fleet performance in reaction to significantly higher operating costs and stricter governmental and environmental compliances,” said  Karen Mongelli , ARI’s director of operations, in a statement. “There is a real desire to find every possible means to meet these new targets, as multiplied over an entire fleet, even the smallest improvements can have a major impact. The requirements of these companies are ones that ARI and WebTech Wireless are uniquely positioned to address.”
