Kaseya Intros User State Management Module for 'Green' Remote IT Administration

As part of the company’s ‘Green IT’ initiative, Kaseya (News - Alert) has introduced its new User State Management Module. This solution allows companies and enterprises to remotely manage desktops, including setting power options so that machines power down when not in use.

The module also provides the necessary tools for automated desktop migration, and definition and deployment of group profiles with the help of Kaseya's advanced systems management console.

Kaseya is a provider of IT automation software for solution providers and public/private IT sector organizations. Its automation framework allow IT professionals to proactively monitor, manage and maintain distributed infrastructures remotely, using an integrated Web-based platform.

"With the integration of Versora's technology, we are very pleased with the rich feature capabilities available through Kaseya User State Management" said Dan Shapero, senior vice president of marketing for Kaseya. "By providing power management capabilities, Vista migration, configuration and deployment of policies and desktop standards, our customers see improved productivity, greater control over user policies and configurations while efficiently reducing their carbon footprint."

Reporting, backup and deploying user accounts, application settings, user settings and system settings are managed remotely and transparently from a single point by Versora’s technology integrated into the Kaseya IT Automation Framework. Kaseya acquired Versora in June 2007.

"Kaseya's ability to integrate power management policies with the rest of the systems management framework gives us the ability to efficiently monitor, maintain, backup, secure and now regulate power of any computer--regardless of its physical location or whether it is in use, in sleep mode or turned off," said Susan Labandibar, president and CEO, Tech Networks of Boston.

Labandibar continued: "This powerful and complete systems management framework will allow us to provide proactive managed services at an affordable price point while continuing to keep an eye on power consumption and the environment."

Kaseya’s 2008 IT Automation Platform supports Intel (News - Alert) vPro Technology. When combined with the module,  Intel vPro technology efficiently manages power management with no negotiation on system management.
