CellForCash.com Encourages Mobile Phone Users to Recycle their Phones without Having to Leave Home

The CellForCash website is offering an option for mobile users in the United States to rid themselves of their unused cell phones.

The system is very straightforward: if there are unused mobile phone handsets at home, users can log in to the CellForCash Web site and send it in. The Web site now offers a host of features to help one complete this simple process. You will receive packing material, a box with a pre-paid label, the address which you have to send it to and instructions on how the recycling will be done.


The Web site pays money for more than 700 different models of mobile handsets, and offers to recycle models outside that number for free.

There are reportedly 500 million cell phones lying unused in American households. In terms of the environment, the number of unused cell phones in American households is a real cause for concern. However, many people do not realize the impact that this could have on the environment.

"By taking five minutes to sell an unused phone on CellForCash.com, anyone can help decrease the growing wireless industry waste problem," says James Mosieur, the CEO of RMS Communications (News - Alert), the company that operates CellForCash.com. "CellForCash.com was created to provide consumers and businesses a simple way to responsibly dispose of their old phones while returning some value.”

CellForCash.com is an environmentally conscious mobile phone handset buy-back website. Its mission is to supply a solution to the problem resulting from the heavy use of mobile phones today; a responsible wireless industry waste solution while returning value to consumers and businesses, the company said. CellForCash.com has managed to retrieve and recycle hundreds of thousands of unused cell phones since its inception in 2002. In figures, the company has successfully diverted over 80 tons of waste away from local landfills.
