Delta Intros Optimized Air-to-Air Heat Exchangers

Delta Electronics, a fan and thermal management solutions provider, has unveiled its Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger series featuring capacity from 50W/K to 260W/K and an integrated thermal solution to the outdoor cabinet telecom application.

“This is another successful solution of system integration made possible by synergy of Delta’s thermal expertise and telecom power cabinet design capabilities, and it fulfills Delta’s mission as well,” Wilson Huang, general manager of Fans and Thermal Management Business Group, said.

“The high efficiency thermal solution comes from integration of Delta’s patented “Pentagonal Thermal Cooling Core” and optimized fans that significantly increases heat dissipation with less power,” Huang added.

Delta has used an advanced thermal design which has ensured an increase of 30 percent in energy efficiency. The new series will help bring down operation costs considerably, according to company officials.

The compact form factor of the heat exchangers is half in size compared to traditional heat exchangers offering benefits like saved space that enables flexible system upgrades.

Delta’s Air-to-Air Heat Exchanger has been made highly air tight in order to ensure complete isolation for the systems from air contamination, dust, and humidity that are generally present in outdoor environments, said officials.

The manufacturing process employed by the company is fully automated which results in the production of high quality products besides reducing wastes. The heat exchanger has been designed to be compliant with IP55, TUV, CE, and UL, and have also been tested for severe salt fog cycles.

Delta Group provides power management and thermal management solutions. It also serves as a supplier of components, visual displays, industrial automation, networking products, and renewable energy solutions.

The company strives to provide innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions with an aim towards environmental protection. It has successfully implemented green, lead-free production and recycling and waste management programs, officials said.

In December of 2011m Delta Electronics announced the opening of its Taoyuan Plant 3 and R and D Center. The new plant employs Delta’s own energy saving and industrial automation products and control systems.
