IXYS Corp. Announces Participation in 14th Annual Needham Growth Conference



IXYS Corporation, a provider of high performance power and RF semiconductors and control ICs, has announced is participation in the 14th Annual Needham & Company Growth Conference. The event, which is scheduled to be held in New York City on January 10-12, 2012, is a platform for both public and private institutional investors ushering in 2012 by exploring new investment avenues.

The growth conference from Needham and Company, a nationally recognized investment banking and asset management firm which specializes in growth companies and their investors, is counted among the largest growth conferences on Wall Street.

In its announcement, IXYS said that its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nathan Zommer, will present the event on January 10, 2012 starting at 3:30 PM, Eastern Time.

Dr. Zommer, who founded IXYS in 1983, has been a strong advocate of exploring and tapping into energy-efficient technologies for strategic investment opportunities. He has served as director of the company since 1983 and has been chairman of the board, president, and CEO since March 1993. Dr. Zommer prior to founding IXYS had amassed a wealth of experience serving in a number of positions with names such as Intersil, Hewlett Packard, and General Electric. Dr. Zommer earned a bachelo’rs and master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from the Tel Aviv University. He also has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Carnegie Mellon.
