Info-Tech Recognizes Outstanding Vendors in Precision Cooling Landscape

Info-Tech's “Data Center Precision Cooling Vendor Landscape” report recognized outstanding vendors in the technology marketplace and contributions made by exceptional vendors, who provided precision cooling devices at the rack level. In this context, it named Emerson Power, APC by Schneider Electric and Rittal (News - Alert) market Champions.

The report noted that with organizations demanding free cooling features to help ensure that critical servers were kept at acceptable temperatures, vendors are going beyond the traditional methods of conserving power and maintenance costs by reducing the number of required parts.

According to Darin Stahl, Lead Analyst with Info-Tech Research Group, Green efficiency and cost effectiveness was a top priority for these vendors, who combated rising energy costs and higher density computing with innovative technologies that were cost-effective and energy efficient.

The report stated that Emerson Network Power's (News - Alert) long standing reputation coupled with its ability to produce energy efficient scalable in-row solutions with advanced cooling monitoring made it an ideal candidate for the Champion category. Its Liebert CRV product received special mention.

Further, it added that APC by Schneider Electric's (News - Alert) InRow RD that provided precision cooling at the row level, quality, support, advanced monitoring and strong global sales channel and Rittal with its plinth-based LCP Inline, flexible solutions and innovative product offerings earned for them places in the Champion quadrant.

The report suggests that organizations that require precision cooling at the row level, with or without raised floor in the data center, would find these offerings appropriate.

Coolcentric (News - Alert), with its innovative, affordable, minimal moving parts solution, appropriate for high density and high computing or small environments was recognized as the lone Innovator in the report.

In a recent Uninterruptible Power Supply Vendor Landscape report published by Info-Tech Research Group, Liebert/Emerson Network Power and Eaton (News - Alert) Power were declared as Champions in the UPS market. Both vendors responded remarkably well to rising energy costs and provided customers with solutions that met power needs while satisfying their budget.
