CommScope, a global provider of infrastructure solutions for communications networks, will showcase
its solution portfolio, including technology, intelligence and energy conservation and management solutions relevant to multi-system operators (MSOs) at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2011, in Atlanta from November 15-17.
“We believe CommScope is unique in offering a complete solution portfolio allowing operators to provide consumers with today’s advanced services while also preparing them for demands of the future,” said Ric Johnsen, senior vice president of Broadband at CommScope, in a press release.
Johnsen stressed the fact that these solutions had been developed in the wake of an effort to understand the specific challenges that the company's customers faced. As the increasing demand for bandwidth was a priority concern for customer, CommScope had produced a variety of solutions to help operators overcome the bandwidth challenge.
The company is expected to demonstrate how its Bandwidth-enhancing technology, Intelligent networking solutions and energy conservation solutions will enable MSOs reap big rewards in the form of cost savings and improved performance.
In addition, CommScope will also participate in the Green Pavilion and discuss how its hydrogen fuel cell technology and cooling solutions will help operators to provide clean backup power and how they can reduce energy consumption. A five kilowatt fuel cell will be on display at booth number 20.
Citing examples of how CommScope is working to help operators maximize the effectiveness of their network, Johnsen noted that MSOs would also learn how to add intelligence into their networks so that it would enhance network performance and overall operational efficiency with reduced power consumption in the network environment.
“CommScope has a long, trusted history in the cable and telecommunication industries,” Johnsen added. “As our customers and industry continued to evolve, so has CommScope.”
In other news, CommScope was awarded Readers Choice Awards from Computerworld Singapore and Computerworld Malaysia in the category of Hardware, Physical Infrastructure — Networks for the second consecutive year.
