ALOE Systems’ flagship product, MVTS II, has received a 2010 Green Technology World Leadership Award from TMC.
ALOE Systems (former MERA Systems (News - Alert)) is an industry-leading developer of softswitches and VAS platforms that enable carriers and service providers to manage VoIP traffic across their networks.
The Green Technology World Leadership Award has been designed to recognize forward-thinking companies that make advancements in innovative, environmentally-sustainable technology products or service. The 2010 Green Technology Leadership Awards have recognized the best green technology products brought to market in 2010 that contributed to higher energy efficiency, reduced waste, and/or improved impact on the environment and helped improve the bottom line for the business that use them In a press release, ALOE Systems explained how its MVTS II product works with minimal carbon footprint.
According to ALOE Systems, its MVTS II (Multiprotocol VoIP Transit Softswitch II) has been developed as a three-in-one product combining the functionalities of carrier-grade transit softswitch, billing system, and routing engine. Packing three features into single software, the product minimizes the hardware need and thus significantly reduces network resource consumption. This in turn helps increase the network’s performance and maximize bandwidth utilization. This is how MVTS II significantly contributes toward green movement.
“We are glad to be part of the Green Technology World. With the demand for VoIP services increasing, the effects of this trend are twofold: on the one hand, more and more carriers switch from TDM to VoIP technologies, thus increasing the efficiency of their networks; on the other hand, the VoIP solutions deployed by carriers need to be built on effective algorithms to make lower resource consumption possible. Choosing MVTS II they can effectively address both issues and support the Green Movement together with us,” CEO of ALOE Systems Konstantin Nikashov commented in a statement.
“I am pleased to grant a Leadership Award to ALOE Systems for the significant progress in the advancement of the green technologies. Multiprotocol VoIP Transit Softswitch II has proven its quality and excellence while addressing real needs in the marketplace. Congratulations to the entire team at ALOE Systems on their accomplishments in the advancement of the green technology industry,” CEO of TMC, Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), commented in a statement.
With an aim to expand its business and sales growth in North America, few months back ALOE Systems forged a partnership with Vera Networks, a complete Solutions Provider and Systems Integrator of telecommunication software, hardware and services.
