North American uniform rental service and linen supply company AmeriPride Services will drive energy efficiency and reduce power consumption with JouleX technology.
JouleX specializes in delivering enterprise energy management systems for data centers, distributed office environments and facilities. The company will deliver its JouleX Energy Manager (JEM) to AmeriPride that will provide new-found visibility into the energy consumption of devices connected to its network.
The network-based, agentless energy management system JEM will also provide AmeriPride with support for sustainable procurement practices so it can include energy consumption in its evaluation of future equipment purchases.
JouleX Energy Manager significantly reduces energy costs by monitoring, analyzing and controlling energy usage of all network-connected devices and systems. JouleX claims that no client-side agents or hardware meters are required to use this technology.
"Our commitments to innovation and the environment go hand and hand," said Joe Jansen, director of Information Services at AmeriPride Services, Inc. "Protecting the environment is a critical part of our ongoing strategic business plan and we're always looking for innovative technologies and efficiencies that will allow us to support green, sustainable initiatives that will benefit our customers, company and community for the long term."
"AmeriPride represents a terrific example of an industry-leading company that has already made a strong commitment to the environment and constantly looks for innovative and cost-effective solutions to help meet its 'green' objectives," said Tom Noonan, president and CEO at JouleX. "Energy is often the largest unmanaged expense in any organization. JouleX is proud to enable AmeriPride with a system that will help reduce the company's environmental footprint even further as well as improve the bottom line."
