International Fuel Technology (IFT), a technology provider to industrial consumers of diesel fuel and bio-diesel fuel blends in the rail, stationary power generation and road transport industries, announced that PREOL, a bio-diesel manufacturer in Czech Republic, bought IFT's PerfoLiFT BD-8.
IFT's PerfoLiFT BD-8 provides superior oxidation stability and deposit formation control to bio-diesel of all underlying sources. The repurchase order for PerfoLiFT BD-8 through International Fuel Technology distribution partner Nordmann Rassmann Czech Republic is part of the PerfoLiFT BD-Series of fuel additive formulations.
Located in Lovosice, PREOL has the capacity produce more than 100,000 metric tons per year of bio-diesel. The company employs process technology to make bio-diesel primarily from rapeseed oil. PREOL is a member of the European Biodiesel Board (EBB).
“This is an important development for IFT,” said Axel Farhi, IFT's director of Global Business Development, in a statement. “The largest bio-diesel producer in the Czech Republic selecting IFT as their established supplier of bio-diesel stabilizer technology speaks for itself regarding product efficacy. This purchase order is also a clear indication of the success IFT is having with its strategy of partnering with well-known distribution partners.”
IFT has two main product lines, DiesoLiFT 10 and the PerfoLiFT BD-Series. DiesoLiFT 10 enhances fuel lubricity, provides detergency benefits and co-solves normal amounts of free water, which collectively reduce maintenance costs for the end user.
Recently, International Fuel Technology announced that it had received a purchase order from Petrobras to supply PerfoLiFT BD-4 to Petrobras for use in its three bio-diesel manufacturing plants in Brazil, which collectively produce over 150 million liters of bio-diesel per year.
