Advanced Personnel Systems (APS), a provider of solutions for on-demand technology and recruitment data management, announced that its SmartSearch version 15 will be available with upgraded paperless document management capabilities.
According to APS, the SmartSearch talent acquisition and staffing management software brings together the myriad building blocks of sourcing, recruiting and hiring in one easy-to-use solution. Users can post to job boards, manage email, coordinate background checking and candidate prescreening, generate onboarding packages, submit hiring data, customize their workflow, integrate with other service providers, and support best practices.
A recent study revealed that 75 percent of employees want their employers to be environmentally responsible and by opting to ‘go green’ an organization can hope to attract, engage, recruit and retain top talent. With paperless hiring processes, companies can significantly reduce their carbon footprint and bring their hiring costs down.
One of the new features included in SmartSearch is the ‘Candidate Portal’ that lets candidates to upload documents with their online employment application, and specify desired documents when applying for a position or at any time during the hiring process. A newly hired candidate can also update their records with additional documentation, e-signatures, voluntarily provide EEOC data, and more.
APS explained that green recruiting practices such as its paperless document management enable customers to enhance their employment brand and promote their environmental sustainability policy. The newly announced enhancements to SmartSearch also improve the candidate's experience by letting applicants conveniently upload, review, and update required documentation during the hiring process. Plus, recruiters save time with faster access to employment-related documents.
SmartSearch also integrates with third party vendors for paperless background screening, assessment testing and live virtual interviewing via GreenJobInterview.com that's been shown to reduce ‘carbon footprint’ and lower hiring costs by 50 percent or more.
