Tigo Energy, the smart module Technology Company, and Valentin Software have signed a partnership under which Valentin’s PVSOL premium will come with the capabilities of Tigo’s SMART Module platform.
Tigo Energy, a Silicon Valley company that designs the PV solar optimizer and smart module technologies, allows higher module density to increase energy production, simplifies design and installation, improves fire safety, and ensures the highest uptime and reliability with cloud-based monitoring.
System designers, installers, and financiers use SMART Modules, which will now be able to accurately model and predict the energy harvest benefit that SMART Modules provide for any site or condition.
The new product release was a result of the collaboration between Valentin Software and Tigo Energy, and displays how SMART Modules work in the field under a variety of conditions.
Tigo’s SMART Module platform is available in PVSOL’s new design software. Tigo’s module partners include such manufacturers as Trina Solar, Upsolar, Sunerg, Axitec, Lightway, Luxor, and Jinko Solar among others.
Christian Carraro, vice president of EMEA for Tigo Energy, said in a statement, "Having a tool that demonstrates the energy gains of Tigo’s SMART Module platform in such an easy-to-use and flexible product is a major step forward for the market. This allows installers and developers to model the ROI of solar systems with SMART Modules and communicate these benefits to the system owners using third-party calculations.”
This new solution takes the benefits of mismatch correction and the efficiencies of Tigo to accurately predict the output of a system given any number of design and condition variables.
Steffen Lindemann, managing director of Valentin Software said, “We have seen growing demand from customers to be able to model the capabilities of smart modules. We’re thrilled to introduce a capability that covers the majority of the smart module market and allows a number of our customers to more easily model and deploy these solutions.”
