There’s nothing worse than having your mobile conk out just when you want it most – far away from a charging unit and no amount of shaking or banging will bring it back to life. Neah Power understands how problematic this can be and has come up with the BuzzBar Recharging suite that can recharge mobile devices anywhere in the world, anytime.
In a whitepaper, Neah Power has sought to explain the unique capabilities of this revolutionary unit ahead of its formal launch and general availability.
BuzzBar, the small, light-weight back up power solution for the smart phone and other mobile devices, reportedly allows consumers to use multiple sources of power to recharge their mobile devices. Once the unit is fully charged, all users have to do is to plug in their phones or tablets into the BuzzBar and re-charge their devices. This recharging unit can be used to recharge devices once or twice before having to be recharged itself.
It’s well known that almost every mobile electronic device uses lithium-ion rechargeable batteries for power. The dynamic nature of these devices, addition of more features, increase in resolution and screen size, more functionalities, streaming video - has kept battery technologists on their toes trying to make batteries with longer lives. To some extent, they’ve succeeded and battery life has improved, but not enough to suit user needs.
“The BuzzBar is at the hub of the recharging suite and connects directly to a consumer's mobile device. The BuzzBar can be recharged using the sun (BuzzSol), AA batteries (BuzzBat), and Neah Power's exclusive fuel cell liquid power (BuzzCell),” said Chris D’Couto, CEO of the company.
Although there is no dearth of charging devices in the market, D’Couto claims that all of them rely only on one source of energy to work. This is where BuzzBar is different.
During power outages or in countries with unreliable power grids, traditional mobile charging units that must be charged via a wall outlet quickly become useless. The BuzzBar family of products could come in very handy at such times.
Neah Power has been developing the technology for its’ Recharging Suite ‘for over two years at its labs in Bothell, Washington just outside of Seattle. The product suite has seen some compelling design changes during this time, and the new, sleek, compact unit that is expected to finally appear on shelves in the near future, could cause quite a flurry.
