Nissin Systems of Kyoto, Japan is using Skkynet’s technology for data integration and display.

Skkynet Cloud Systems provides real-time cloud information systems to businesses. For this project, the company has formed a collaborative alliance with Nissin Systems of Kyoto, Japan and its wholly-owned subsidiary Cogent Real-Time Systems.

The alliance provides several benefits such as programmability, data integration, and web-based HMI support for Nissin’s ECHONET Lite Home Energy Management System (HEMS) Server Development Tool.

Users can install HEMS tool on any PC, and leverage it to control as well as optimize energy usage for new and existing homes.

“This is the first tool of its kind, a technical breakthrough with immediate benefits to any homeowner,” said Toshiaki Ishikura, executive officer of Business Solutions at Nissin Systems. “Now anyone can have a fully ECHONET Lite-compatible home energy management system (HEMS) simply by installing this software.”

Running on an ordinary Windows PC, the HEMS Server Development Tool leverages Cogent’s DataHub to aggregate data for monitoring and controlling appliances such as air conditioning and water heaters that are connected to smart meters.

Home owners can use Cogent’s WebView technology to build web-based control panels with drag-and-drop simplicity to conveniently manage their home energy usage.

“The HEMS Server Development Tool is an excellent application for Skkynet’s secure cloud technology,” said Paul Thomas, president of Skkynet. “Nissin Systems is clearly a pioneer in putting the benefits of cloud-based real-time data integration into the hands of the average homeowner.”

Skkynet Cloud Systems was in the news earlier this year for signing a deal to work with BellChild Ltd. of Osaka, Japan.

Both companies will team on providing cloud systems and services in the industrial sector.

As per the agreement, BellChild will support high-speed financial transactions and Skkynet will provide the software to support real-time data integration via the cloud.
