Servergy Inc. announced a partnership with SUSE in order to implement the SUSE PowerLinux Cleantech Server and CTS (News - Alert) 1000 servers. This partnership will give worldwide Linux users the ability to deploy low energy consuming servers without the need to compromise efficiency or scalability. Bill Mapp, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Servergy, stated that “Servergy’s Cleantech Architecture will give customers very high I/O scale-out capabilities when refreshing their data centers with clean and green infrastructure,” revealing the alliance between the two companies as a win-win for the environment.

Residential properties and commercial establishments are also jumping on the go-green bandwagon. Powerhouse Dynamics, the creator of the eMonitor enterprise energy and asset management system, has produced a leasing program for multi-site operators of small commercial facilities who couldn’t otherwise afford the eMonitor system. The eMonitor system diagnoses performance issues and identifies saving opportunities regarding HVAC and other key machinery and systems, making the eMonitor a great investment for restaurants and retail chains, even multi-family housing. Powerhouse Dynamic admits that the leasing program was inspired by solar power companies (which started the trend of leasing programs), signifying Powerhouse Dynamics’ efforts in following suit to help improve the environment.

The general public is no stranger to the go green revolution. According to Aspect (News - Alert) Software, the people of the UK are scoping out their best utility provider options due to poor customer service and rising energy costs. Aspect Software aims to help companies improve their customer service skills by offering call center solutions. In regards to the utility industry, customers can be notified of appointments and billing issues, and there are apps that allow customers to report service issues quickly. Aspect Software encourages utility companies to take advantage of the discontent in the UK by offering more reasonable rates and going the extra mile when it comes to customer service, otherwise customers will continue to bounce from provider to provider.
