Servergy And SUSE Forge Partnership Deal For Powering PowerLinux Cleantech Server

Servergy Inc., announced the signing of a partnership deal with SUSE to power up the former’s latest breed of PowerLinux Cleantech Server and CTS (News - Alert)-1000 servers. Following the development, Servergy’s clientele will gain access to SUSE’s expertise with PowerLinux environments in addition to the options for scaling-up and scaling-out the server capacity and also the latest technology to run workloads in the virtual as well as cloud networks.


In a release, Bill Mapp, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Servergy, said “The unparalleled combination of SUSE-branded PowerLinux software and services for cloud, virtualization and enterprise operating systems and the unique value proposition of Servergy's Cleantech Architecture will give customers very high I/O scale-out capabilities when refreshing their data centers with clean and green infrastructure. For enterprises and data centers running on Linux, this is a real game-changing technology providing industry leading performance-per-watt.”

Through the partnership between Servergy and SUSE, the worldwide Linux users will gain access to new options to deploy low energy consuming servers without having to compromise on efficiency and scalability. The partnership will cover all areas of Linux applications across various platforms such as Big Data, caching, cloud networks and distributed storage applications.

Speaking of the partnership with Servergy, Mark Longwell, Director of OEM Solutions at SUSE, said “Servergy's recent launch of its high I/O, clean and green PowerLinux servers has opened up significant new global opportunities for partners like us. Having SUSE Linux Enterprise Server for Power on Servergy Cleantech Servers will help us meet customer demand for hardware solutions that run on Linux, address growing power, space and cooling constraints, and can scale-out for high I/O applications running on cloud and Big Data.”

Servergy is engaged in the development of data center technologies based on its patented Cleantech Architecture.
