Global Energy Innovations, an expert in advanced better care technologies, has forged a distributorship agreement with Transcat. As per the agreement, Rochester, N.Y.-based Transact will be distributing Global Energy Innovations’ family of products across the North American Marketplace.

Transact is one of the North America’s top distributors of professional grade handheld instrumentation. The company markets and distributes more than 25,000 test, measurement and control products to nearly 15,000 customers.

Global Energy’s products are in high demand among mobile telecommunication operators, power generation plants and utilities, uninterrupted power systems operators, industrial battery manufactures and many other battery users. These customers often want their products to be calibrated prior to putting them into service. Transcat is a qualified provider of accredited calibrations for these instruments. As such, Global Energy has also contracted Transact to provide its customers with necessary calibration services. The calibration services will be performed at Transect’s calibration labs throughout North America. This will enable Global Energy to serve their customers more quickly and efficiently than ever.

“Global Energy Innovations provides leading-edge, precision battery test, monitoring and conditioning equipment and software. GEI’s focus on the stored energy and electrochemical markets within test and measurement will facilitate better customer service by Transcat in these markets,” Transcat’s director of vendor marketing, Jay Clark, commented while explaining the significance of the partnership.

“With the growing demand for reliable power globally,” he continued, “products such as these are becoming essential to mobile telecommunication operators, power generation plants and utilities, uninterrupted power systems operators, industrial battery manufactures and many other battery users. Our customers often require their equipment to be calibrated prior to putting it into service, and Transcat is uniquely qualified to provide accredited calibrations for these instruments.”

In May, Transcat reported financial results for its fourth quarter and fiscal year which ended March 30, 2013. Included in the results were those of Anacor Compliance Services, Inc., acquired on July 16, 2012, and Cal-Matrix Metrology Inc., acquired on January 25, 2013.
