Newer Technology Features Power2U Stations at SEBC

Attendees to any trade show have always found it difficult to locate a point for rapid charging for necessary smartphones and tablets. Builders, contractors and remodelers attending SEBC will now have ample room for a recharge and can keep away from grouping around power outlets off the show floor.

Newer Technology Inc. will be showcasing its Power2U AC/USB wall outlet at Southeast Building Conference. The Power2U AC/USB wall outlet will act as the show’s recognized "Recharging Zone.”

In a statement, Larry O'Connor, president, Newer Technology, said, "We think the SEBC show is a perfect place to introduce Power2U to the top builders, contractors and remodelers in the Southeast. Power2U is a must-have feature for any new residential, business or public building because, these days, we all need on-the-go access to USB power. We have special volume pricing for SEBC attendees and encourage anyone to drop by for a friendly chat and recharge."

AC and USB power have been merged into a solitary, energy-competent wall fixture by Power2U. The latest electrical accessory can be used for both residential and commercial buildings. The device utilizes in-built USB ports and the National Electrical Code-amenable and tamper-proof AC receptacles to charge and power a maximum of four devices at a time. Power2U has been developed for normal 15-Amp and commercial grade 20-Amp circuits.

Simpson Property Group LP has installed the Power2U outlets at all the units at the Skyhouse Austin. Jennifer Roberts, regional marketing director, Simpson Property Group, said, "USB ports have become commonplace for charging a wide range of devices. Newer Technology's Dual USB power outlet provides a cost-effective and convenient charging location, using the same USB cables that charge devices from computers. Their small size and safe, efficient DC power USB ports are capable of charging up to four devices simultaneously, and the device's low power consumption means they cost less to operate. We see these as a value-added feature for our residents, and are planning to put them in all new additions in Dallas, Houston and Atlanta, coming in 2014."
