Eltek unveils New Solar Inverters and Solar Energy Storage System

Eltek, a specialist in developing power systems required in telecommunications, industrial applications and renewable energy projects has launched the new THEIA HE-es system and an updated THEIA HE-t solar inverter product range that will be available from August 2013.

Solar energy systems enable solar producers to rely less on traditional utility companies instead of adopting a self-consumption strategy. As numerous photovoltaic (PV) installations are being made across the globe there will be a remarkable increase in energy costs which is why companies concerned with PV generation will start consuming more power when the storage systems will come in useful.

Eltek’s THEIA HE-es features high-efficiency capabilities of THEIA HE-t solar inverter and is housed in an IP21-level enclosure. It has batteries that can store between 2.4 kilowatt hours (kWh) and 18.2 kWh of solar energy with a storage system that allows PV system owners to leverage the energy they produce when they need it the most.

The dynamic battery management capability of the THEIA HE-es ensures that the batteries are used only when it is not a waste. It also features adjustable charge and discharge limit settings and can be configurable for all battery technologies such as Lithium, NiCad, lead acid and sodium batteries.

The system can be connected into the THEIA HE-t and a total DC-AC power conversion efficiency above 90 percent that can be realized with the THEIA HE-es. Users will benefit from the PV energy storage system, said officials.

The company plans to launch more new models that will feature integrated remote power level adjustment (PLA), system protection interface (SPI) inputs and configuration. Other features like S0 smart meter bus integration, PV shading loss reduction and energy management outputs will also be added.

The THEIA HE-t inverters are of compact form factor and light in weight, operating at maximum efficiency of 97.3 percent. They also sport flexible connection sets, backlit color display and integrated Web-server to enable quick configuration besides streamlining operation.

Recently, Eltek announced that it has signed a non-exclusive reseller’s agreement with New York-based Empire Clean Energy Supply. Empire Clean Energy (News - Alert) is a stocking distributor that is known for delivering expedited service, quick response times and strong customer support.
