A provider of LED lighting technology, Dialight, has announced the introduction of integrated controls for its LED lighting fixture portfolio for use in the world’s most demanding applications.

The company is reinventing the way customers operate and maintain their lighting systems while simultaneously improving safety and saving on operating expenses, said Roy Burton, chief executive officer at Dialight Group.

“Our controls will save on both energy and maintenance costs, and will allow our customers to regulate exactly how, when and where their lighting is operated,” Burton said.

With Dialight’s fully integrated controls, customers now have the ability to turn individual or grouped LED light fixtures on and off as needed. In addition, they can also be dimmed to the illumination levels as required. Company officials said that they can be used in combination with daylight sensing or motion detection technologies and also can be scheduled with different operating profiles for various times of the day or week.

Moreover, thanks to Dialight’s controlled LED lighting fixtures, intelligent monitoring and reporting, users also have the ability to review lighting and energy consumption statistics via the Web or mobile device apps with high tech advanced security for individual or multiple facilities.  Company officials said that if there is an issue, there are features, such as on-demand or scheduled reports and fault management alerts, to assess it.

The company is making available the patent-pending, smart grid compatible control package in a variety of communications protocols, including powerline communications (PLC), wireless -- industry standard Zigbee -- or DALI platforms.

Company officials said manually, they can be configured or accessed using a touch screen wall controller through mobile devices, including iPhone (News - Alert), iPad, or Android, or from a remote network computer.

The advanced lighting controls system is expected to be introduced on the company’s LED High Bay products for industrial and hazardous locations including UL Class I and II, Div 1, Class I and II, Div 2 and also ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 and 2 configurations.

The company intends to ship the products in Q2-2013. And, later this year, the products are expected to be integrated into additional Dialight fixture families.

Last year in June, Dialight purchased the assets of Colorado-based Airinet, a developer of lighting control, energy management and automated network control systems.
