ASUV Shares Same Environmental Goals in President Obama's Second Inaugural Address

When it comes to environmental issues such as global warming, energy consumption and sustainability, most people fall one way or the other--politically, or just whether or not they truly “care” about saving the environment. Is it a priority for you, or just a general concern? President Obama made it clear during his second inauguration which side he is on, and Harmonic (News - Alert) Energy Inc. (ASUV) is jumping at the chanceto commend and work with him and his administration.

ASUV is a company focused on tire manufacturing and recycling, and it has stepped up in its efforts and promises to make renewable energy profitable, which will then increase the uptake of environmental technologies, increase efficiency, lower costs and generate sustainable jobs.

The President said in his second inauguration speech on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day that he would make it a priority in his next--and last--term to “respond to the threat of climate change,” knowing that the failure to do so would betray our children and future generations and drive a “path towards sustainable energy sources.”

ASUV is in the process of implementing a way to do just that, by increasing manufacturing efficiencies of oil based products that rely on finite resources, specifically the tire industry.

The company has a complete end-to-end solution for the tire industry, which ensures that 100 percent of scrap tires can be safely reused or recovered for their energy commodities.

These commodities are recovered from highly problematic and dangerous waste, and are then used to provide greener alternatives for industrial manufacturing. If ASUV is successful in this aim, the company will establish a clean, green and profitable business with all kinds of research and development projects put in place. These projects will work in conjunction with many universities throughout the country, as well as government agencies.

ASUV is also urging the U.S. government, specifically Congress, to allow the establishment of Renewable Energy Investment Trusts (“REIT”s) which will expand the ability of renewable energy companies to raise capital.

The REITs would work on a project by project basis, but in the process would help create jobs, another important goal for President Obama, and the rest of the nation, over the next four years.

The economic opportunity offered by solving environmental problems is often overlooked, but the President was sure to mention it during his speech.

“We cannot cede to other nations the technology that will power new jobs and new industries--we must claim its promise,” said President Obama.

Other tire companies including Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd., Nokian Tyres PLC., and Nexen Tire Co., Ltd., are all working toward vertically integrated tire manufacturing and recycling systems, in order to create a profitable and sustainable market, and ASUV is right beside them and in competition with them for greener tire manufacturing.

President Obama’s second inaugural speech only put the fire under their tires even more.
