Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), one of India’s oil & gas companies, has adopted ProcessMAP’s cloud-based solution to manage sustainability performance.
Officials with ProcessMAP said that BPCL has selected ProcessMAP's platform to measure, monitor and report its sustainability and carbon emissions.
“We are excited to support BPCL’s sustainability efforts and its business objectives for measuring and reporting of sustainability performance,” said Anoop Sreedharan, head of India operations at ProcessMAP, in a statement.
“BPCL’s adoption and success of utilizing ProcessMAP’s sustainability management system further validates the flexibility and configurability of our platform for sustainability performance management in oil and gas industry,” said Ram Athukuri, vice president implementation services.
ProcessMAP’s platform supports BPCL with streamlining end-to-end sustainability data management – from collection, verification to analysis and reporting to stakeholders.
It also helps in automating annual enterprise greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory and carbon emissions reporting covering Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
The platform also provides visibility to energy consumption and carbon emissions metrics for detailed analysis and facilitates goals setting and monitoring performance against targets at each plant and enterprise level.
It also helps in normalizing data to allow meaningful comparisons and trend analysis among other such things.
ProcessMAP is a provider of cloud-based enterprise software platform empowering organizations become more efficient and intelligent in three key areas: environmental health and safety (EHS) management; sustainability and carbon management (SCM); and enterprise learning & compliance management (ELC).
Back in December 2011, ProcessMAP Corporation had announced that its sustainability performance management solution had been certified by Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). The certification verified that ProcessMAP had applied GRI content accurately into its software platform.
The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) produces a comprehensive sustainability reporting framework that is widely used around the world, to enable greater organizational transparency. The framework, including the reporting guidelines, sets out the principles and Indicators organizations can use to report their economic, environmental, and social performance. GRI is committed to continuously improving and increasing the use of the guidelines, which are available to the public for free.
