Frontier Communications Now Offers Ohio Consumers Green Energy via FTR Energy Services



Frontier Communications Corporation recently announced that consumers in Ohio will now be provided with natural gas and electricity via FTR Energy Services, a provider of affordable, green retail energy. While consumers will enjoy the same billing and service from their current utility service provider, FTR Energy Services will be responsible for supplying them with clean burning natural gas and 100 percent green electricity. The company will deliver this at affordable rates and also offer the consumers a five percent cash back offer on their energy supply.

FTR is a premier provider of broadband, voice, satellite video, wireless Internet data access, data security solutions. In a statement, Dave Davidson, Frontier Communications, SVP and General Manager for Ohio, said that, “As a longtime, trusted service provider, we’re pleased to offer our customers clean burning natural gas and 100 percent green electricity, where available, alongside an offering of five percent cash back on their energy supply costs. We are excited to bring customers the option to choose FTR Energy Services as their supplier and make it easier than ever to get clean and affordable energy.”

Customers will have the option of either enrolling with FTR Energy Services via an easy online enrolment tool or alternatively they can opt to speak with a trained FTR Energy Services customer representative who can guide them through the easy signup process.

Dave Davidson said that, “FTR Energy Services builds on Frontier Communications’ strong local relationships with its customers. Communities, customers, Frontier employees, and shareholders will benefit from this service. It is a great addition to our robust home and small business offerings.”

FTR Energy Services, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Crius Energy, will begin supply of 100 percent green electricity from Dayton Power and Light, Columbus Southern Power and Ohio Power Company while Columbia Gas Ohio, Vectren, and Dominion East Ohio will offer natural gas.
