Xnet Releases iConnect Green for the iPad

iPads may only come in limited colors, but it’s still possible for them to be green. Scheduling and setting up conferences while reducing one’s carbon footprint has never been easier, thanks to Xnet Communications (News - Alert) GmbH. Its iConnect Green has just been released for all iPad models, and is making conferencing so much easier for users.

With iConnect Green, users can access 3D virtual meeting rooms capable of supporting multi-party business communications. Users can configure the app with any SIP compatible provider or PBX (News - Alert), then launch meetings with a single touch. They can drag and drop people from their contacts list into the meetings, who will then be invited via SMS or e-mail.

When the meetings are scheduled, they can be tracked and users can send out reminders, with Calendar integration. Connecting to a conference is just as easy as, well, pressing a button that says “connect to conference.” That’s really all it takes. Participants only need to pay for the cost of the landline call to an internationally accessible phone number in Liechtenstein.

iConnect Green provides audio and video calling, chat messaging, call history, and voicemail support. Not only that, but its features include DTMF tones for auto attendants, integration with iPad contacts and notifications.

Of course, it’s called “Green” for a reason. Videoconferencing has proven to be great for reducing one’s carbon footprint by drastically reducing the time spent traveling to and from meetings. If five people are conferencing by using iConnect Green, that’s five people who aren’t driving to an agreed-upon location, wasting gas each way they go. That adds up to some nice savings both in gas and travel expense, and for the environment.

In spite of the popularity of the iPad, there’s always need for better conferencing apps. iConnect Green is one to consider, with a simple user interface that’s easy on the eyes, and multi-party business communications with a variety of useful features. It’s easy to use, and provides quality conferences that are simple to set up and start. iConnect Green is a good place to go for your iPad conferencing needs.
