Do you want to save your energy bill this winter? If yes, please read on (which should be all of you!)
Winter is just around the corner, and Tozour Energy Systems, a provider of HVAC and building automation systems, has come up with some tips to help you achieve great savings this frigid season on your energy bills.
The company has presented some short list of tips that include easy and no- or low-cost modifications for commercial building owners and operators in the Philadelphia region to help them save on their energy bills this season.
The company first suggests a thorough inspection of the HVAC system. Owners need to clean and perform regular maintenance to keep their systems running more efficiently, and scheduled maintenance will keep equipment running smoothly and fuel bills low.
Commercial building owners and operators should also make sure that windows and ducts are properly sealed to prevent heat loss. Keep heat in by caulking, insulating and applying weather strips to doors and windows. They should also continually change air filters, Tozour advises, which will work to prevent their critical equipment from freezing. Additionally, they should utilize data from the building automation system to measure all mechanical systems’ performance, as well as make repairs when performance is out of an acceptable range.
Tozour Energy Systems is a full-service HVAC and building automation provider based in King of Prussia and is a franchise of Trane (News - Alert), a business of Ingersoll Rand. The company provides customers with a diverse range of solutions including building automation, equipment services, energy conservation services, green building design, controls, parts, supplies and responsible technical support throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Kevin Duffy, president of Tozour Energy Systems, explained in a statement, “The winter season presents a unique set of challenges, with everything from warm spells to freezing temperatures, consistent maintenance and ongoing modifications help owners and facility managers identify problems quickly and save costs in the long term.”
