Wilsons Promotes Alliance AutoGas to Four Canadian Provinces

Alliance AutoGas has extended its global clean vehicle fueling and conversion network with the addition of the latest associate, Wilsons Fuel Company Ltd. The entire Alliance program will now be available to Atlantic Canada, consisting of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador through Wilsons.

An increasing number of Canadian vehicles will therefore be able to operate on the economic propane autogas.

In a statement, Gary Highfield, general manager, Wilsons said, "We joined Alliance AutoGas because it is the world's most reliable program to help fleets switch to autogas. Autogas is the most viable fuel on the market for fleets because it's clean, it costs less than gasoline and installing autogas fueling stations is not expensive. As an Alliance partner, we're now able to help fleets throughout Atlantic Canada start saving on fuel costs right away by running vehicles on autogas.

Vehicle owners are assisted in all the facets of shifting to autogas by the Alliance program. These include conversions of vehicles, fueling, onsite fuel station implementation, data incorporation, guidance and continuous technical support. A remarkable development is currently underway by the Alliance AutoGas associate network of propane promoters and conversion centers.

These centers are located across 40 states and Washington D.C. in the U.S. and the areas of Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador in Canada.

The globally popular substitute fuel is currently propane autogas. In comparison to a gallon of gasoline, a gallon of this substitute fuel, already used by 18 million vehicles worldwide, is nearly $1.50 cheaper. The quality of air in the local communities is also enhanced with the use of the comparatively uncontaminated fuel, propane autogas.

Stuart Weidie, president of Alliance AutoGas and founder of Autogas America, said, "The addition of Canadian partners like Wilsons plays a key role in the continuing international expansion of the Alliance AutoGas network. It only makes sense that such a well-established company, which generations of customers have come to know and trust, now provides local fleets with the most affordable, dependable transportation fuel on the market."
