Today on my way to work, I noticed the vehicle next to me had branding all over it that said, “Enviro Maids.” As someone who is extremely interested in green products that help to reduce the pollution on our great planet and, even furthermore, someone that wishes she could pay someone to clean for her and be done with it forever, I just had to dig deeper into what this company was all about.
As companies and people are increasingly turning to green technology in order to not only reduce costs but also their carbon footprint, it only makes sense that a maid service would propel itself mop first into this increasingly popular green initiative. Currently serving clients throughout Fairfield (CT) and Westchester (NY) counties, Enviro Maids’ goal is to offer both clean and green results for its growing customer base.
To accomplish its mission, the cleaning company leverages cleaning techniques and products that not only get rid of dirt, germs and toxins, but also improve the air quality in every home it works in.
According to the company’s website, “We strive to use cleaning methods that help in the goal of a sustainable earth, by recycling, using machines that waste less energy, use less water, and do not create harmful chemical waste that will be reabsorbed into the land or water.”
Back in 2002, the business was touted as the first company in the world to be presented with the Green Seal (News - Alert) GS-37 certification for institutional cleaners for its Enviro Care Tough Job, Washroom, Low Foam All Purpose and Glass Cleaners. It doesn’t stop there though, because in order to efficiently clean carpets and rugs, Enviro Maids turns to a four Filter Heppa Backpack vacuum, a technological tool that encompasses a next-generation filtration system that has the ability to capture and retain even the smallest amounts of dust, pollen and animal dander that can then be dumped at a later time.
Interested in turning over the cleaning reigns of your castle to some other unlucky individual? The housekeeping organization will gladly take this annoying responsibility off your hands and if you refer a friend now, you will receive a $25 gift card to Whole Foods.
Good job Enviro Maids, Obama would be proud!
