You know how brand new mothers are constantly posting questions about what the best stroller, car seat or anything infant-related is to buy? Well, they aren’t the only ones using social networks to get answers to vital questions right away; green technology lovers are now able to bond over their own site, Ozoshore, which is giving them a platform to discuss the many steps that need to be taken to make our planet healthier.
Officially unveiled earlier this week, the website is reportedly the only private and extremely secure social network created with the growing green community in mind, in order to allow individuals to come together on common ground and discuss important issues that are affecting our environmental conditions.
Giving members the ability to share green messages with “partners” (similar to friends on Facebook (News - Alert)) while remaining in-the-know to everything currently taking place in the green industry, Ozoshare sets itself apart from other more widely known sites such as Facebook, by allowing users to easily outline their specific green interests by selecting them on their Ozoshare bio (profile).
Additionally, according to a recent article, “Members can have a business page and/or a personal page and an unlimited number of ‘partners,’ as well as create custom pages with personalized tabs that include their website, donation page, newsletter, mission statement, blog and more.”
When Ozoshare members “approve” a page they like, the important information is then spread to other people using the network which gets the word out there right away about an array of issues to which many people may be completely oblivious.
At this time, the platform boasts around 3,000 members, with more people hoping on board as the days pass.
“The biggest advantage of Ozoshare is that it is driven by green interests which link members to the people and organizations they want to connect with,” said Seth Leitman, green living expert at GreenLivingGuy.com and editor of McGraw-Hill’s Green Guru Guides. ”This results in greater conversion for organizations and a more satisfying experience for individuals.”
As the usage of social media continues to grow, it only makes sense that a springboard would be created to enable those who truly care about the future of our planet to bond over crucial issues that will ultimately affect the lives of generations to come.
