UK Forestry Commission Selects Level 3

The Forestry Commission in Britain is working on making our planet greener. The commission plants 24 million trees every year and puts in an effort to create new woodland and to replace the trees that are harvested. The commission sustainably harvests almost five million tons of wood every year from Britain’s public forests.

The idea of the commission is to save our natural treasures, but some technical help will not harm the prospects. The commission recently roped in Level 3 to provide data and voice network, collaboration and broadband services. With this, the commission seeks to support an increasingly mobile workforce, improve efficiency across the organization and achieve compliance with the Public Services Network (PSN) standards.

The new agreement will provide a centralized management hub to Forestry Commission's IT team which will help them in compliance and security matters and also reduce annual expenditure. The relationship between Level 3 and the Forestry Commission dates back to 2005 and the Forestry Commission has again selected Level 3 for its future plans, the company stated in a statement.

“We are delighted to grow our relationship with Level 3," said David Felstead, director of information services at the Forestry Commission. "We have worked with Level 3 for years and know the caliber of their work. After a period of supplier evaluations, it became clear to us that they were the best supplier to help us future-proof our organization, ensuring we can adapt to the evolving requirements of our workforce.”

Recently, the company announced that it was expanding its resources, infrastructure and service portfolio for enterprise customers in France. The company will also provide comprehensive solutions to the above mentioned firms to help in business growth, increasing efficiency and addressing important security requirements. The company is also providing local sales and customer support teams in the region.
