Greenway Design Group, Inc. just made an announcement that its South Korean dealership got an order for Cool-n-Save system installations within three Korea Telecom (News - Alert) facilities for their data and networking operations. The facilities are located in Osan, Seoul, and Suwan.

At first, Greenway will send engineers over to begin the testing phase, ensuring that the installation works up to snuff. The first installation will take place in Suwan and Osan. A second installation will occur in the Seoul center. Engineers expect the facilities to save approximately 22 percent of their air conditioning costs, making the Cool-n-Save system pay for itself within a brief period of one year. The ROI figures included the cost of the installation, equipment, and maintenance for the first year. This is just the beginning of the national Cool-n-Save installations that will take place in the future. Korea Telecom puts the possible participation at approximately 500 buildings.

Jeong Ho Kim, director at Korea Telecom Gyongbuk Corporate Business Center, says, "We are aware of the energy-saving capabilities of Cool-n-Save on air conditioning. We are looking forward to a successful completion of the test as a precursor to deploying Cool-n-Save technology to Korea Telecom facilities throughout South Korea."

Greenway's SVP, Darius Jakubik, said, "Our dealer came to us with a proposal to launch tests with several major businesses in South Korea. This is the first order. We foresee more in the very near future. this operation is part of a larger effort to expand sales beyond our usual seasonal experience in the United States, both in terms of equipment and regular maintenance required for the Cool-n-Save system. We anticipate that foreign markets offer a full year sales opportunity for the company.”

Korea Telecom, or KT (News - Alert) Corporation, is a provider of telecommunications services in South Korea, providing customers with telephone and high-speed broadband services. Because of new services that the company has just released to the public, it has found itself with a need to grow its data and networking departments in such a way that they would need to provide facilities with efficient cooling to help keep financial focus off of the electric bill and on operations.
