GOe3 to Unveil Nation's First Coast-to-Coast Electric Vehicle Charging Network

Electric vehicle is the next boom in automobile sector, thanks to the growing need for energy efficient vehicles that reduce both emissions and fuel costs.

GOe3, a startup firm that spearheads a national campaign promoting electric vehicles and energy independence, announced it is introducing 25 charging stations this Earth Day weekend.

These 25 Level 2 and Level 3 electric vehicle charging stations are part of the company’s 500 planned charging station locations across the country. They will make interstate travel finally possible for plug-in EVs and electric vehicles.

GOe3 charging stations provide a viable alternative to electric car drivers to charge their vehicles of any make conveniently. Though charging stations for electric vehicles already exist, many are Level Two, 30 Amp. GOe3’s charging stations are Level Two, 70 Amp or higher, supporting all modern electric vehicles, making them the most fully functional on the market.

By establishing an electric vehicle charging network, GOe3 CEO and Founder Bruce Brimacombe hopes that more drivers, with the assurance of reliable interstate charging stations, will be moved to purchase electric vehicles.

In connection with this launch GOe3 is also hosting an Earth Day event of its own on Saturday, April 21. The facility has teamed up with the UA School of Music to celebrate the science and art of Earth Day and Earth Month through hands-on interactive displays, guided tours, exhibits and live music.

GOe3, with the help of several partners, plans to set up charging stations and help local communities along interstate highways I-70, I-40, I-20 and I-10 with a station placed every 50-75 miles. The company has also secured a complete route from Flagstaff to Tucson.

In another significant development in electric vehicle charging industry, software giant IBM (News - Alert) launched two collaborations that will allow electric vehicles (EVs) to power up more easily on the autobahns of Europe and the highways of California.

First, the Armonk, New York-based computer giant has partnered with Západoslovenská energetika, a.s. (ZSE), the largest electric utility in Slovakia, on a feasibility study that will help the nation’s capital city of Bratislava to pave the way, literally, for EVs.

IBM said it will also team with American Honda Motor Co., and the San Francisco-based utility, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E (News - Alert)), on a project that will facilitate direct communication between electric vehicles and the power grid.
