Boston Ltd. Announces Availability of Server with Total Liquid Submersion Cooling Technology

Boston Limited, a UK based reseller of LSS 200 systems has announced the availability of the LSS 200 server, which has been designed with total liquid submersion technology. The LSS 200 is the only server in the world which has been designed to regulate server temperature without air and can bring down power consumption and cost while enhancing floor space. Manufactured by Hardcore Computer, Inc., the LSS 200 systems will also bring down the carbon footprint of the data centres which will deploy them.

In a release, Chad Attlesey, president, chief technology officer, and founder of Hardcore Computer said that, “Regulating server temperatures has been an on-going challenge in data centers for many years, as it has a direct correlation with server power and performance. Traditional cooling solutions have proven very costly and their efficiency is limited, thus data centres are continually battling with escalating power consumption and associated costs. The total liquid submersion cooling technology in the LSS 200 is the most effective solution on the market.”

Because the LSS 200 is submerged in a dielectric liquid, Core Coolant, its capacity to bring down heat is 1350 times greater than air which is the traditionally used coolant. Data centers will not be required to maintain expensive air conditioning as well as air moving equipment to regulate the temperature in the data centre. LSS is expected to reduce energy costs for cooling data centers by up to 80 percent and more, which means an overall cost saving of up to 40 percent and more.

Manoj Nayee, managing director of Boston Ltd. said that, “The LSS 200 is one of the most innovative data centre products available today and addresses the server performance demands of data centers – especially financial institutions. As one of the leading financial hubs in the world, the UK market will benefit immensely from the introduction of the LSS 200.”

With its capacity to regulate temperature, the LSS 200 systems improve server performance making them ideal for deployment within demanding, high speed and performance based environments. Designed to be highly durable, without any depreciation in reliability and performance, the LSS 200 systems can run all quantitative applications easily.
