ScoringContainers.com announced that it will help registrants, refillers, retailers, commercial applicators and custom blenders to comply with the requirements of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA).
This act specifies procedures and standards for container design and the removal of pesticides and other chemicals from containers before disposal or reuse starting from August 16 2011. ScoringContainers.com makes use of supply chain technology with RFID and/or barcode labeling technology, and Web-based Site-Specific Recordkeeping to help follow the EPA’s Pesticide Container and Containment Rules, according to a release.
Real time asset tracking is able to protect chemical handlers besides tracking problems faster within the supply chain for both external and internal manufacturer. It helps in traceback of RFID tags and barcodes in labeled drums, IBCs, barrels, shipping containers, or RPC’s, explained officials.
Further ScoringContainers.com can maintain complete, Point-to-Point Traceback transport and data records in real time for various products like feeds, foods, fruits, ingredients, materials, and vegetable crops. Internet access to the information stored in RFID tags and GPS barcoded labels is secured using which identification of the container’s previous contents is possible and if the container was triple cleaned.
It was revealed that ScoringContainers.com database has labeling compliance information for maintaining security and to show if triple rinsing was done besides providing an easy access to information via the barcode or RFID code which gives original source, source destination, data on handlers, shippers, temperature, and other data.
On October 8, 2010 EPA issued a final rule extending the compliance date for container and containment labeling requirements to August 16, 2011.
ScoringSystem PIDC is a patented tracking and traceback code system which leverages RFID and 2D expandable PDF417 GPS barcode labeling technology. ScoringContainers.com is essentially a global, real time, Web-based database which captures product history and source verification of shipping containers movement, handlers, shippers, and storage facilities along with dates and time details.
