Califone Curtails 'Paper Pushing,' Offers Same-Day Electronic Invoicing Instead

Califone International, Inc., a leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of audiovisual products, is proud to introduce electronic billing for its dealers. The new billing platform—part of the company’s ongoing green initiative —is already available. It offers same-day electronic invoicing on shipments of the company’s audiovisual products.

A recent report published in e-billing news states that around 53,700 new e-Invoicing users are expected daily during 2011 and, with an estimated volume growth of 35 percent for this year, alone, e-Invoicing is currently one of very few growing markets.

This progressive program reflects our continued investment in and support for our dealers, but it’s also part of our commitment to green innovation within the educational and professional audio industries,Califone. “This program will mean the near-term elimination of printing and mailing more than 24,000 invoices and envelopes this year alone.”stated Tim Ridgway, Vice President, Marketing, for San Fernando, California-based

In addition to reducing the use of paper, the program also makes it easier for dealers to track shipments. A tracking number for each shipment is sent to the customer within minutes after the package leaves the Califone site.

The company’s innovative green program began in 2009 with more efficient production of the company’s annual catalog. The new catalog printing process reduced the amount of water used by 80 percent (55,000 gallons) and reduced green house gases by 10.3 percent (920 pounds of CO2 emissions).

Califone also has a longstanding recycling program and has been transitioning to more ecologically friendly packaging.
