Gold demonstrations are going to be run in Guyana by Haber, Inc., using sulfide gold bearing ore and its latest eco-friendly green technology. A Delaware corporation, Haber, Inc. has its headquarters in Arlington, Mass., and is a company with proprietary technologies in the processing of gold bearing ores in an environment friendly manner and in the separation sciences.
Sponsored by the Republic of Guyana, the gold extraction demonstrations from Haber, Inc. is going to utilize head ore and concentrates from the small scale, medium scale and large scale miners of Guyana itself. To be held in Georgetown, the capital city of Guyana, the testing is touted to last for the next 45 days. The tests will be following similar protocols as with the ones that were used very successfully in last year’s Suriname testing.
The main objectives behind these tests of the Guyana government are to tackle the rapid growth in environmental hazards and harmful health issues due to the use of mercury and to introduce the green gold technology within the country. At the same time, the country is targeting a good amount of growth in the production of gold and its revenues. Haber. Inc. is confident that its “green” technology is all set to achieve these objectives in the country.
Guyana’s normal gold recovery efficiencies have been a good amount lower than that possible using Haber’s green technology, in spite of Guyana using toxic chemical extractions and non-chemical extractions to level the efficiencies.
In a release, Albert B. Conti, CEO of Haber, Inc. said that, “The Guyana government has resolved to seek out green technologies as a solution to the gold processing environmental problems plaguing the country and has solicited Haber to demonstrate its technology. The company will perform tests in Guyana within the next 45 days with other South American mining companies and international financing organizations invited to attend. The company is eager to participate and recognizes the significant potential this opportunity offers to us both. Guyana has large gold resources which have not yet been fully exploited and which present numerous business opportunities where our technology can be used.”
