PicoTurbine International, a provider of green energy education products and curricula, launched STEM+ (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Curriculum, a new program designed to intensify K-12 students' understanding of green technology across a multitude of disciplines using both hands-on and theoretical teachings.
In a press release, PicoTurbine clarified that the new STEM+ Curriculum gives students a deeper understanding of STEM education topics with each passing year – one that they can build upon consistently up to college. Additionally, STEM+ Curriculum is aimed at enhancing students' knowledge of green technology and it facilitates growth in other critical areas of learning like peer interaction and real-world problem solving.
Developed by a team of educators per the National Common Core Standards, STEM+ Curriculum is said to deliver a unique blend of disciplines to the STEM education world, one that freely incorporates subjects like geography and English as readily as it does science and technology.
Through this curriculum, learning takes place in a wide range of environments from mobile labs to online platforms, according to the company.
