vCom solutions, based in San Ramon, Calif., helps multi-site companies manage their telecom environment nationwide. It chose Earth Day 2011 to promote the cause of the environment and the company by encouraging its customers to 'Go Green.'
Officials at vCom said that Earth Day was a good time for companies to introspect about the colossal waste in business and consider it as a 'wake up call' to contribute to the environment by looking at vCom telecom solutions that helped foster the 'Go Green' concept.
As a pioneer of Telecom Management as a Service, vCom allows companies to replace their existing TEM platforms with a SaaS (News
- Alert)-based one.. The end result is a reduced cost of carrier services and complete visibility into all telecom services and activities and just one electronic bill for all their services anywhere in the country.
With paper invoices from phone companies accounting for the loss of millions of trees each year and with multiple invoices being sent all over, paperless billing is perhaps the panacea that companies are looking for.
By joining the AMERICAN FORESTS' Global ReLeaf Program and its Tree Planting initiative, where vCom donates one tree for every new customer who participates in paperless billing, vCom has clearly demonstrated its commitment to protecting the environment.
In a press release, Gary Storm, President & CEO of vCom Solutions spoke about the role of the company in saving the environment. "vCom is helping customers go green by providing one single electronic invoice for all your services from any carrier nationwide, and then loading that directly into our TEM software," and added, "Go green and save green with vCom."
In another news story, on March 25, 2011, vCom Solutions announced that it had become a member of the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association, TEMIA (News - Alert), and the authoritative voice for the Telecom Expense Management supplier community.
