Nortel Government Solutions Bags $10.4 Million Contract



Under an estimated $10.4 million contract, Nortel (News - Alert) Government Solutions will continue providing environmental management and support services through 2010 for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate.
 
Nortel Government Solutions will be responsible for providing a team of experienced environmental professionals who will manage hazardous materials handling, hazardous waste disposal and pollution prevention. All these activities will be in compliance with applicable regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
 
Chuck Saffell, chief executive officer, Nortel Government Solutions said in a statement that they have supported their mission under previous contracts for nearly 10 years.
 
Saffell points out that he has personally visited this world-class research organization, is extremely impressed with what they do and is proud of the role they play in their success.
 
As per the agreement, Nortel Government Solutions will also operate the Directorate’s Integrated Materials Management Office (IMMO). The company will provide services ranging from budget and logistics to patent management, security and inventory management.
 
The Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate develops materials, processes and advanced manufacturing technologies for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, rockets, ground-based systems and related components
