In order to offer drivers access to on-the-go information while in their vehicle and to enable both the driver and passenger to take advantage of the voice, data, audio and video applications, T3 Motion, Inc., a
leading provider of clean-technology electric vehicles, recently
announced that its R3 Series prototype hybrid electric consumer vehicles will come complete with a Samsung (

The incorporation of the Samsung Galaxy tab into the R3 Series dashboard design will allow the tablet to function as the mobile media system inside the vehicle. It also serves the purpose of a portable tablet as the rider gets off the car. The Samsung tablet further adds to the appeal of this eco-friendly two-passenger car that can run on the top speed of 70 to 120 mph. According to its maker, R3 Series is quiet, comfortable, fun to drive and environmentally friendly.
T3 Motion said the new feature is intended to provide customers with access to technologies such as on-board vehicle diagnostics, GPS navigation, live traffic information, email and other Android (News - Alert) applications. Riders can use the device as the vehicle’s central information hub for various purposes such as travel planning, GPS navigation, audio, video and games.
“The size and capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy Tab are perfect for the R3 Series--a forward-thinking tablet for a forward-thinking car,” T3 Motion CEO Ki Nam said in a statement. “Effective communication is a necessity for the modern driver, and by incorporating the multi-functioning Samsung Galaxy into our design we are fulfilling the broad technological requirements for on-the-go customers.”
T3 Motion said it is concerned about the safety of drivers while using this device and assured that it will continue to explore ways to make the mobile media system as safe as possible while in driving mode.
In July last year, T3 Motion announced the incorporation of Apple (News
