Leading colocation and dedicated server provider Colocation America (News - Alert) will contribute $100 for every new colocation sign-up in its Los Angeles data centers during the week of Earth Day: April 18th 2011 through April 22, 2011.
Colocation America announced its intentions to make donations to TreePeople, an organization which educates and supports communities in Los Angeles, in a press release. TreePeople works towards planting and caring for trees and demonstrates sustainable solutions to urban ecosystem problems. The nonprofit organization unites the power of trees, people and technology to grow a sustainable future for the Los Angeles region
“We are excited to offer our new and existing clients a great energy and money-saving initiative in celebration of Earth Day,” says Michael Trunkett (News - Alert), President of Colocation America, in a statement. “Being able to contribute to a great organization such as TreePeople is very important to us because they take care of the city where we have the biggest presence [Los Angeles]. With our colocation services, companies will make their IT growth a simple process and get the most out of their budget.”
